Short Bio

Freimut is a biochemist with longstanding scientific activities in the fields of Experimental Hepatology and Molecular Medicine. At Profil he is the Director Science & Innovation and contributes scientific and methodological input to the design and evaluation of clinical trials.

Major Scientific Contributions

Freimut's scientific contributions include the discovery of hepatic insulin resistance mechanisms and of key cerebral pathways in Hepatic Encephalopathy
